I am a Netherland based hungarian visual artist with a passion for experimental shapes and structures. Artisanal craftsmanship and innovative techniques go hand in hand in my work, which includes jewellery design and fine art works.

In my study, first I chose painting for its nobility, (I attended the painting department, I spent a year in Rome, Italy to observe all fine materials and technics) but I soon questioned the priority of classical materials such as oil and canvas. My interest in craft led me to join to the textile department also where I found many new materials and inspirations.

After graduation I took a teaching position at MOME – Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest where I saw that fine art and craft do not exist without each other.

My work is based on inspirations drawn from traditional embroidery techniques, which I place on different, found or destroyed surfaces. I transform simple, everyday materials into complex assemblages that create a distinctive visual impact. A central principle of my works is the unfixed form, they can be on the floor, they can be up on the ceiling, they can be up on the wall, all that fluidity is behind the concept. I think of these as living objects, just like human beings.

My jewelleries and art products are made by hand and with great pleasure in my studio. All the materials I use are repurposed from old jewellery, recycled plastic and other byproducts.

I believe that Pattern as a message, a special language, a readable signal that contains many stories of our personal thinking, living and circumstances. And we have to preserve it for the future. That is my way as an artist.

I had many projects with Hungarian designers, theater groups, universities and art academies, and I have also connections with dutch organisations and artists to help their researches.
